Bob Log III is playing at YuYinTang tonight with Hu Jia Hu Wei and Reykjavictim.
Bob Log III is a one-man band from the US-of-A, playing slide guitar blues. He wears a full body human cannonball suit, and a motorcycle helmet wired to a telephone receiver, leaving his hands to the guitar and playing drums with his feet.
There’s been talk about possible nudity happening at tonight’s gig. “Boob Scotch” is one of Bob’s songs where he invites the audience to handle his scotch, but not before dipping their… Well, you get it. If there is any dipping or indecent exposure, I’ll be damned if I don’t get a picture of that.
Not sure what we’re getting into here – especially since he’s known to crowd surf in a rubber dinghy.

More importantly, I’ll be testing out video and sound recording of the gig – at least for a couple of songs and see how it turns out! Then, I’ll be following Bob, Goushen and Xiao Xin Yi Yi to Wuhan for the Saturday gig at VOX Livehouse.
This is the trial run mini-documentary before M.O.T.O. Masters of the Obvious comes to China. I’ll be filming as much as I can, every waking/sleeping/passed out moments of this weekend. It’s going to be low-fi all the way… as I’m prepared to strap a flashlight onto my camera as I film in the dark corners of YuYinTang and VOX.
